The combination of glass and stone in the Giorbello – Glacier Mountain Fire and Ice make the mosaic a truly elegant and stunning finish to any kitchen countertop and backsplash or bathroom. Although glass if often thought to be slippery when wet these tiles have a non-slip property making them safe even in bathrooms. The glass is frosted, causing it to appear soft and warm.

In the Fire and Ice design frosted glass and marble tiles lie alongside each other. The glass tiles come in shades of brown, from light red to cream, and soft white. The marble stone tiles, on the other hand, are colored in light burgundy. The juxtaposition of these different shades and the blending of glass and stone are the reasons why this design is remarkable.

There are three available variations of the Fire and Ice –Square, Small Square, and Rectangle. All three come is sheets measuring 298 mm x 298 mm x 8 mm with a fiberglass mesh backing. The individual tiles in the Square measure 23 mm x 23 mm x 8 mm with 144 tiles to a sheet. For the Small Square, the tiles’ measurements are 15.6 mm x 15.6 mm x 8 mm with 289 tiles to one sheet. The tiles of the Rectangle are in two sizes, one is 15 mm x 48 mm x 8 mm while the other is 15 mm x 98 mm x 8mm. There are 85 tiles to a sheet.

When installing these tiles it is advisable to use thin-set fast-setting adhesive. Non-sanded grout is likewise recommended to avoid unnecessarily abrading the glass tiles.
