Glass Tile Store’s Recycled Glass Tiles

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which is composed largely of the developed countries, estimates that their 31 members generated 4 billion metric tons of waste materials in 2001. That was almost a decade ago so it can only be imagined that the figure has increased since then. The figure is staggering but there are many ways to reduce it, even in the decoration of your home. You can use Glass Tile Store’s Recycled Glass Tiles.
There are six different variations of the Glass Tile Store’s Recycled Glass Tiles. Three of these are of a single color while the other three loudly and proudly proclaim that they are made of recycled glass through the display of certain icons and texts. All of these variations consist of glass cut to sizes of ½” x ½” with a projection of 8 mm. These are recycled from bottles, windshields, and glass cabinets as well as table tops.
The single color varieties come in white, lavender, and sky blue. They can be used in your kitchen as a backsplash or countertop, bathroom around the sink and tub and on the walls, and also in your swimming pool. The tiles are mounted on 1 square foot sheets and are installed with white modified thin sets.
The other three variations are 3′ x 3′ medallions with icons and texts associated with environmentalism. The first displays the Universal Recycling Symbol, the three green chasing arrows forming an unending loop. The ½” x ½” tiles colored green, beige, and white are arranged to display the icon. The second design is an icon consisting of a drop of water with the text “Save Water” below it set against a circular background. The third also displays the Universal Recycling Symbol but in a smaller size. Beside it are the words “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle”.
