Hakatai Calliope Series Glass Mosaic Tiles

Calliope is the Greek muse of epic poetry who inspired Homer to write the Iliad and Odyssey. Today, the makers of Hakatai glass mosaic tiles are again inspired by her to produce a collection of glass tiles whose color blending and designs are almost poetic. These are known as the Hakatai Calliope Series Glass Mosaic Tiles.
The series consists of ten different sets of tiles whose colors are drawn from flower gardens. The tiles are slightly iridescent, emitting a trace of rainbow colors when illuminated. Some of them are opaque while others are translucent, but both feature swirling colors in random patterns giving them a distinctive and unique look.
The variations of the Calliope series are ivory, honeysuckle, buttercream, truffle, parasol, hydrangea, evening blue, water lily, garden, and Monet grey.
Like most glass mosaic tiles, the Calliope series are impervious to water, both in its liquid or vapor states. This makes them ideal for bathrooms and kitchen backsplashes. Outdoors, they are also used around the pool and hot tub areas. Even when exposed to the sun, snow, ice, or rain when they are installed outdoors, the tiles resist fading, discoloration, and staining. As they are nonflammable they can also be used to highlight or enhance fire pits.
Individual tiles measure approximately ?-inch square with a thickness of ? inch. They are mounted on a mesh sheet with a grout joint of about 1/16 inch. Each mesh sheet, measuring approximately 1.15 square feet, holds 400 pieces of tiles.
Perhaps the best thing about the Calliope tiles is that they are made out of 50% recycled glass. These come from bottles, glass windowpanes, and windshields that would otherwise have been discarded. Of these, 90% are post-consumer while the remaining 10% are pre-consumer materials.
Installing the Hakatai Calliope Series Glass Mosaic Tiles can lend your bathroom, kitchen, or any other room inside your house a garden ambience making them look fresh and airy. They can also add color to your pool and spa area.
