Kaleidoscope Colorways Glass Mosaic Tile Blue Agave Blend
Reflecting the colors of the agave plant, the Kaleidoscope Colorways Glass Mosaic Tile Blue Agave Blend comes with mosaic tiles in five different shades of blue and green. These are arranged in no particular order or pattern giving them a unique character, and making your bathroom, kitchen, or wherever you wish to install them distinctive.
The Blue Agave blend of mosaic tiles are sold in sheets measuring 1.15 square feet. The individual mosaic tiles are mounted on the sheets, which are made of paper, with their faces glued to them.
Each sheet carries 225 pieces of mosaic tiles of different colors. The tiles measure ¾-inch square (20-mm square) with a thickness of 0.16 inch (4 mm), and are spaced from each other at 0.06 inch (1.5 mm).
Since the tiles are face-mounted, the sheets are installed with the paper facing out. It is important to align the sheets when installing the tiles to assure that their grout joints remain uniform. It is also important to wait for about 20 minutes for the thinset to bond with the tiles before attempting to remove the paper. To make removal easy, wipe the paper with a sponge wet with warm water. Wait for the paper to absorb the water for about 2 – 3 minutes then pull at the corner of the paper. Do this at an angle instead of straight down to minimize the possibility of pulling out the tiles.
