Modwalls Brio Glass Mosaic Tiles

There is a certain magic to black and white photography but most people would rather live in a colorful world that reflects the whole visible spectrum. This is evident in the myriad shades we color our homes with from the roof down to the walls and floors, both outside and inside. Modwalls responded to this desire by designing and manufacturing colorful, customizable, and economical mosaic tiles –the Brio Glass Mosaic Tile.

There are four types of Brio Glass Tiles: the Color, Pearl, Clear, and Shimmer. All four types measure 0.75-inch square and 0.16 inches thick. Except for the Shimmer, these are face mounted on 1.15 square feet sheets of paper giving a total of 225 tiles per sheet. The Shimmer, on the other hand, is mounted on a mesh of the same size and number of tiles. Grout line is about 0.125 of an inch.

Brio Color is an opaque vitreous glass tile that comes in 62 shades of bubbly colors including marigold, green apple, turquoise, cilantro, lavender, papaya, and maple. Pearl comes in nine iridescent shades making them look like a, well, pearl. Clear is totally transparent and also comes in nine different colors. When the tiles are installed, the ridges on their backs are visible. Shimmer is the latest in the Brio line. It features a light-catching copper metallic finish and it comes is six colors.

Although you can install the Brio glass tiles as is, in a single shade and type and still have a handsome wall or floor, Modwalls offers blends of different shades and types. Pushing things a little further, you can also opt to exercise your creativity and assert your individuality by mixing the different types and colors. The Modwalls Tile Blenderâ„¢ allows you to mix and match any of the Brio glass tiles on your computer to preview any combination you want.
