Mosaic Source Japonaise Mosaic Tile Series

Mass-produced assembly line products lack individuality. They come in hundreds if not thousands and you can’t tell them apart from each other. For this reason, hand-made articles, from cars through furniture to clothing accessories, are often sought after. They are thought to be unique because no matter how an artisan tries, he can never duplicate what he has previously crafted.
The same is true with the Japonaise Mosaic Tile Series of Mosaic Source. These are hand-poured glass tiles. And like the hand-crafted furniture, they cannot be duplicated in terms of their color, shade, tone, and even size. It is, however, these differences among the small glass tiles that, when arranged together, give them their natural sheen and beauty. Ironically, inclusions such as wrinkles, creases, bubbles, and waves in the glass that might be thought of as imperfections actually make them look better.
In the Japonaise Mosaic Tile Series, glass tiles of the same color but different shades and tones are combined in one 13″ x 13″ sheet. There are 18 different combinations, mostly monochromatic, of this series that can be used in the kitchen for the counter and backsplash, bathroom for the walls and around the bathtub and sink, and outdoors in the pool area.
The combinations are the Adele, Apple Tree, Beach Forest, Danae, Gold Leaf, Hope, Pearl Garden, Serpentine, and Silver. All these are available in either Natural or Silk finish.
