Prism Damask Blend SB5206 Glass Tiles

Byzantine and Islamic weavers of the Middle Ages used a weaving technique called Damask, a name derived from the city of Damascus, that wove one warp yarn and one weft yarn. Although damasks could be of any color and could be mono- or polychromatic, plenty of them have subdued colors like tobacco, chamois, ivory, medium blue, and olive. These are the exact colors that the Prism Damask Blend SB5206 Glass Tiles have.

The tiles come in sizes of 7/8 square inch, with a thickness of approximately 1/3 inch. Seventy-two pieces of these small tiles are assembled into sheets of 0.955 square feet. The tiles come in different colors arranged with no particular pattern giving each set a unique look. Joint size is roughly 1/8 of an inch.

Back-mounted on a mesh, installation is made quick and convenient. Any latex-modified thinset of good quality can be used but be sure it is compatible with the substrate and appropriate for the area, that is, if it is intended for dry or wet environments.

Prism Damask Blend SB5206 Glass Tiles are suitable for use as backsplash for your kitchen sink as it is impervious to water. Of course you can cover the entire wall with the tiles or only a horizontal section for highlight. Whatever is your choice, your kitchen will definitely acquire an exceptional character.

They can also be used on your bathroom walls and floor creating a subdued and relaxing ambience. As long as foot traffic is light you don’t have to worry about breaking the glass.

The tiles are not limited to indoor use. You can install them on your pool walls and floor to break the often monotonous layout of identical tiles. You can also use them on the steps leading to the pool. Unless you are planning to go swimming with spiked shoes, you can use the tiles for the footpath.
