Tessera Florentine Glass Mosaic Tiles

Glass mosaic tiles are an excellent alternative to ceramic, stone, or metal tiles. They usually come in a greater range of colors including difficult-to-find reds, yellows, and oranges. Among the different types of glass tiles are the iridescent and metallic tiles. The former have a lustrous sheen that reflects the colors of the rainbow when the rays of the sun or beams of light shines on them. Metallic tiles, on the other hand, are streaked with a vein of metal that stand out against the glass background. The Tessera Florentine Glass Mosaic Tiles come in both iridescent and metal-streaked types. As for the latter, the metal is gold.

The surface of the Tessera Florentine Iridescent Glass Mosaic Tiles is smooth and shiny. With their coating, a vivid reflection of rainbow colors is clearly seen when they are illuminated.

The Tessera Florentine Gold Streak Glass Mosaic Tiles, one the other hand, are daubed with gold lines in random patterns. This gives the tiles character exuding elegance and sophistication.

Both the Iridescent and Gold Streak Tiles are sized at 3/4 inch with a thickness of ? inch. They have ridges on their backs which help secure mounting. The tiles are mounted on a sheet of mesh backing making them easy to install. There are two available sheet sizes. One is the full sheet which is 1.15 square feet containing 225 pieces of tiles. The second is a smaller version measuring 0.35 square feet. Called the 1/3 sheet, it contains 75 tiles.

The Tessera Florentine Glass Mosaic Tiles, both the Iridescent and Gold Streak, are suited for a number of applications. They can be installed on walls and light-traffic floors, indoors such as the kitchen, bathroom, and living room or outdoors around the pool or spa.
